I spent four months travelling over Europe, and five major locations particularly stood out to me. Mykonos, Hvar, Positano, Nice, and St. Tropez. These places were my top picks because they blew my expectations regarding beaches, cuisine, nightlife, atmosphere, and beautiful towns. Although I went to a lot of amazing places, these 5 have it all.
Mykonos was the first beach destination on my European adventure so arriving there felt like an absolute dream. By our 2pm arrival, people were already dancing on tables and the drinks were flowing. Our first few days consisted of touring the island on quad bikes with other travellers and dancing the night away on tables at Paradise Beach Club. Adventuring from Paradise beach to Scorpio’s and beyond on foot led us to the most beautiful beaches, so I would recommend looking beyond the main tourist spots to experience the slice of paradise captured in these photographs. Finally, we loved ending a beach day at Kastro’s restaurant in town to wind down and watch the waves crash.
A free boat journey is required to access the only club on Hvar's private island, Carpe Diem. You may relax on the beach or at one of the beach clubs, which are located directly on the cleanest, bluest ocean, during the day. Before everyone heads to Carpe Diem at night, there is a place called Hula Hula which is on the beach where people start to dance on the tables. The food is exquisite, with burrata and fresh seafood being offered everywhere in the picturesque town made of sandstone and palm trees that is located adjacent to the port.
Positano has a lively nightlife, and Music On The Rocks is a club that is located inside a cave. With linen and lemons being sold everywhere, delectable fresh food, and distinctive beaches like Fornillo beach and Marina Grande, the town has the most lovely organic vibe.
The place I visited that was most liveable was Nice. The town was thriving, offering a wide variety of places to eat and shop, numerous nightclubs, and train access to St. Tropez, Monte Carlo, Cannes, and Antibes. In addition to being situated right on the French coastline. Mykonos and St. Tropez had a lot in common. On the sand, there were all the beach clubs where people would start to party around noon.
